The women: A day at Calthorpe and Marchmont Street Community Centres

The women had special treatment as they were given a day of their own where at Marchmont Street and Calthorpe Centres.

They were given the opportunity to participate in vibrant discussions with other women, art workshops, and cooking some good Pizza.

In Marchmont Street Centre, the women met with other women from different parts of the UK. The lunch was very successful and the centre was very hospitable. Ghadeer said, "I am happy that they designated some time for us women to bond and talk to each other." In Calthorpe centre, the art workshop was given by a group of women who use art as a therapy for women who have been trafficked. Some teachers had experiences with recycling paper and making flowers. Generally, the Palestinian women actively participated in the workshop. The dinner was later attended by the men who shared the meal with the rest.
